How is this for logic?

Section 8. reads in part:
"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and PROVIDE FOR THE common defense and GENERAL WELFARE of the United States; but all duties, imposts and excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;..."

So, if the government can lay and collect taxes and pay debts and is responsible for the general welfare of the citizens, then it stands to reason that since the general level of health of the citizens is necessarily a part of the general welfare of the country, then health care also the responsibility of the government.

5. The right really doesn't want us to be a strong, healthy nation,
because a strong, healthy nation is made of people who have the education, freedom from "We the corporations control your healthcare!!!", and general happiness that makes it really difficult to force people through poverty and lack of education into a military that provides insane profits to the people on the right, or, if not into the military, forces them into lowpaying go-nowhere industrial jobs making the shit that drives the military industrial complex, AND makes people ... well, dumb enough to think that the only thing that matters in life is making sure foreigners are poorer than we are and to pile up as much useless, soul-destroying shit as possible in our homes.
