Time to ammend the Corporate Charter. |
|
To include responsibilities. They are persons, they better start acting like it. Taxes, and the same limit I have to contribute. Jury duty. Going to war. SS to clean up their mess, when they die. Making sure there is an adult around, to change their poopy diapers.
Seriously, what is involved in changing the corporate charter?

1. A corporate charter or articles of charter can be amended over time. |
|
This is often the case when a corporation chooses to change focus in some manner, or grows to a point that there is a need to amend details relating to the issuance of stocks and securities. Also, some states require that amended Articles of Incorporation be submitted when there are changes to the number and the identity of persons serving on the Board of Directors.
So, they can petition for change of terms. So then must we, or it is not a valid contract.
We must for instance protect our privilege to drive. Why are they not in fear of neing suspended? How about establishing mandatory minimum fines? Third strike. All those person type thingies.

2. Perhaps they should get a consensus of stockholders before they engage in "speech" |

Grayson has some interesting ideas. Among them is a requirement for any corporation that had government contracts or accepts any public funds to disengage from political "speech".

3. I think that each state can determine the scope of it's corp. charter. |
|
I'd start with a 1 year renewal period based on community deeds.
