Thanks for the post & reminding me of Robbie Burns Day. When I was a kid (and now I'm a geezer) my best friend was from Scotland & her family educated me (once we understood each others accents):)

The calamity of humanity sits at the feet of the so-called "christians." They put bush in power! Is this what they prayed for as they publically prayed for bush to steal the 2000 election?

but certainly not much.

I remember loving his more ribald and skeptical offerings when I was a kid, and he did have a rare turn of phrase that has lasted when those of more straightforward English poets have gone to dust and been forgotten.
