Here is the problem with the Obama White House, as I see it |
|
The problem is the White House is determined to negotiate with Republicans to give away as little as possible of what we have in order to keep what we've already got but has been unsuccessful in doing so.

3. Our two party system is like pro wrestling |
|
They yell and scream at each other in public.
They beat on each other, and toss their opponent out of the ring.
Once the rubes have stopped cheering and they are no longer watching and the gate receipts are counted, they go off ans share a shower together.

5. They use "bipartisanship" as cover for pushing corporate policy. |

The Democratic leadership has gone out of it's way to stomp on liberal ideas and include corporate ones. The party politics is just a show-- and an old, tired one.
Personally, I think HCR was hammered out in Obama's private meetings with the insurance industry last summer. Everything since then has been politicians deciding who's going to take credit for what.
