Progressive ideals are the enemy of America |
|
We live constantly and continually in an experiment where conservatism and the corporate model are paramount. The fallacy that progressivism is active in this system of corporate control is almost laughable. That's why when thinking about any progressive ideas that have seen implementation, you must mention FDR. That was almost 80 years ago.
There is no such progressive movement. If anything, progressive ideals are in a decline. I think the formula is 99 years of corporate conservatism to 1 year of progressivism. Not pretty.
Amerikkka should experiment with democracy some day.

2. Progressive ideals are the enemy of Fascism and Cancerous Capitalism |

At least FDR knew that every few generations you need to do something to save the labor pool, save those making the payments, save those who cut the grass at the golf courses for the rich, save those who cook their meals, save those who haul their trash, save those who connect their calls, save those who drive their ambulances....
The Corpos and Cancer Capitalists are doing to us, the service backbone, the same things they do to the environment. They are stripping us like a coal mine with no thought of the future. They are using us up and throwing us away like so much human Kleenex.

5. The labor pool is being savaged |

but instead of any relief, health care reform helps HMOs and pharma, the bailout helps banks and insurance, the stimulus package helps fat cats back in the districts, and corporations have been voted to have the only rights available.
If it could get worse, it will.

Government that is run for the corporations is simpler. Governments run for the people are messy. The model right now is to appease the corporations. The worry is will the foothold corporations have ever be lifted. There a bunch of young people losing hope. perhaps they will get pissed. Obama is trying to hold together something that is past that point. It has got to be broken up . This was the time to bump a generation up.

4. Our Democracy, what little is left, has been usurped by Right long |

ago.
When you have a TV Media )and I include every last channel, both broadcast and cable,) that actually perpetuates RW Lies without blinking an eye--you know you have something other than Democracy.
If I had the time and believed you would sit and read my long list I would list them right now.
Here is just the latest.
On just about every station on Sunday this statement or something similar was left as if Gospel truth.
Obama did NOT reach out to Republicans on HCIR. He just worked with Democrats in an effort to jam it through.
The truth is:
He had more than one meeting with Republicans as a group. Baucus squandered months courting the GOP trying to secure their cooperation, only to be soundly rebuffed. The Committee and Leadership practically had Snowe writing the legislation in an effort to secure her vote--only once again to be rebuffed.
If they would take the time to go through C-Span press events they would see GOP Leadership early on stating clearly and unequivocally to the Press. It is our best interest as a Party(GOP) not to support any part of the Health Bill. Furthermore, they would see all the tactics used by the GOP to stop the Bill.
I will say D. Gregory tried to point out the Republican's resistance, but Peggy Noonan took over and totally white washed the Republicans and laid it on Obama and Democrats cutting the Republicans out of the Negotions. "Flicked 'em off" was one comment.
Obama made HARD LEFT TURB, ????? The very fact that Obama and Democrats offered up some form of Health Ins. Coverage for All. was the Hard Left Turn, I suppose.
This bill is a center right bill focused more on helping Insurance Industry than the Citizens. The GOP is the Party of Business. Yet the Media permits this Lie--Obama made a hard Left Turn to lie there and fester.
Yes, we lost our Democracy long ago. It will take a very strong Progressive Movement and years of work to get it back.

I say that it would be impossible to have a strong progressive movement if we attempt to make elected officials the head of that movement. Therefore, the movement must resemble a revolution. Washington D.C. is the most non-progressive place in America.
How sad that revolt is now the only option.
