When the DOW first closed above 10,000...

When the DOW first broke 10,000 everyone on the floor of the exchange got commemorative caps emblazoned "10,000"

When the bubble burst years later the DOW tried to hold 10,000 on the way down and then failed, closing below the magic number.

A trader on the floor watching the carnage said, "Do we get hats?" (He was being funny.)

In that vein... when we count up the number of campaign promises Obama has kept should we include McCain campaign promises?

It looks calm at zero but that was a quick up five and then a more leisurely down five.

I guess when you have to read the whole thing to find out it criticizes the president it slows unrec reaction time.
