3. Good luck getting the morning knuckledraggers at "liberal" MSNBC to cover this story
... even though they should. O'Keefe is tied to two biased entities -- FOX News and Breitbart -- that are hell-bent on undermining and subverting journalism. MSNBC -- even Morning Dead Aide -- should be on this like white on rice.

10. MSNBC "news" is always late to the party
probably one of the reasons they are suffering in the ratings war.

4. He just got completely full of himself after the ACORN stuff
With reich wingers heaping adulation on him, he figured the laws really didn't apply to his form of "investigative journalism". He also figured that Mary Landrieu was a target that would be despised by both the right and the left, for the Louisiana Purchase.

Let's face it, if someone got busted for trying to tap Bart Stupak's phones, many here would be calling for his exoneration.

can the US of A take, another 8? Maybe if Dick Chinney was the CIC we'd be going in the right direction hey? Can you find me the quote where the CIC said he'd create 3.6 million jobs, or are you just grabbing those talking points as fast as you can?

OH and I forgot, O'Douche is NOT insignificant, not by a long shot. His ties make him a player and we can[t wait till that canary sings.

28. Worried? No. More like elated.
This asswipe of a wingnut went after ACORN for no reason other than what he was told by his elder wingnut pals, that ACORN was evil.

And because of his stupid prank - which proved nothing he was alleging about ACORN - their funding was stripped by Congress and the good work ACORN does was ignored.

Our librul media never told us that ACORN filed a lawsuit and won their funding back. Or that taking their funding away was a violation of the constitution ACORN haters so love to quote.

So no I'm not worried in the least. I'm thrilled to see this little punk's Karma come back and bite him. :)

27. Hardly a top story though
because when I have my Google Homepage up, with all the major news headlines of the major "news," outlets, this is what is shown, and the CNN story on this incident is buried down in "Politics," which is normally like a cesspool anyway. This story is being buried as fast as it can be by the corp media. Where are the mug shots?

CNN Headline stories:

Tablet Day dawns for Apple
Intriguing people for January 27, 2010
Hundreds stranded by Machu Picchu mudslides

NYT Headlines:

Geithner Defends A.I.G. Rescue as Essential
The treasury secretary told a House panel that failure to provide A.I.G. with the $85 billion bailout would have been “catastrophic” for the economy.

White House Memo: In Speech, Obama to Admit Missteps in First Year
Toyota’s Woes in America Raise Concern in Japan
Haiti’s Children Adrift in World of Chaos
The Radiation Boom: As Technology Surges, Radiation Safeguards Lag

NPR Headlines:

Ahead Of Speech, Obama Faces A Skeptical Union
January 27, 2010
President Obama delivers his first State of the Union address Wednesday night to an increasingly doubtful national audience. His challenge:...

The Future Of Coal Power Will Require Hard Choices
In Haiti, Earthquake Victims Left To Forage For Food
Congress Hesitates To Act On Deficit
Clinton To Meet With Allies On Afghanistan, Yemen

Most people don't drill down to the subsections like "Politics," unless there is a story they have been alerted to. In this case, it has been all but buried in the first news cycle. With the SOTU and Haiti claiming all the column space for yesterday and today, it may not make it back up to the top ever again. Nothing to see here, move on.

Let's face it, this is as big as another Watergate, but this time around it is drowned out in other news, SOTU leaks, teabagger nonsense, Haiti updates and missing blondes.

I will believe this story has legs when I see it as a top story on all news outlets. Until then, it will be one of those looney left fringe conspircacy theories. O'Keefe, Flannigan, et al will be written off and disowned, described as young, naive, lone wolves trying to make names for themselves and just a "prank." Mark my words.

31. Seems that it is already seen as a "prank"
even here on DU there is a thread (admittedly roundly booed and already sinking fast to p.2 and beyond) asserting that to compare this "shenanigans," with Watergate is silly.

I just checked other major news outlets, Salon.com and KCBS.com and neither showed a whiff of this story.

I just cannot believe that with all the pub garnered by the ACORN alleged sting (since refuted but that story not covered much in news outlets either) that this would not set off alarms.

I guess this is just testament to the priorities of the MSM, such as they are.

At least DU is alive with interest in it, and the Rude Pundit promised more as it happened too recently for him to write about it yet.

What with all the noise over the Geithner hearing, SOTU, Haiti, and other essential stories (odd how that policy damning cable from Afghan ambassador likewise sunk like a stone) I'm sure this will become a backpage afterthought every place else except here.

Well, it was reported that some national big names are starting to take notice and once the SOTU is over tonight and the fallout to that fulluy exploited, we may get back to investigating all the facts behind this incident. Lots of big right-wing propagandists names mentioned already, but not widely disseminated.

I'm just trying to do my jig-saw puzzle
Before it rains anymore..."
