2. America is likely doomed.
Unless we decide to do something about it.

4. In a two party system, we really are that fucked, especially
when Nader turns out to be horribly prescient. We need another way. Neither of the two above are viable anymore, if they ever were. Our founding fathers were right, parties will be the death of this union.

5. Ummm..
.. what this cartoon glosses over...

Is that IF "party b" actually followed through with it's promises, "party a" would be crushed for the foreseeable future.

As it is, "party b" is simply a watered down version of "party a." That is a recipe for massive fail, EVERY TIME.

11. It didn't gloss it over as much as you think
I don't think the take away message was vote for B no matter what or we just keep going back and forth. Maybe I read between the lines but it seems like it's saying this doesn't work.

8. Anyone get the lesson there?
The Party B supporters who get angry when they don't get everything on their wishlist are the screaming, crying libs who attack Obama on a daily basis.

It helps Party A, who previously destroyed the country and would do it again.

But keep crying and screaming, it makes you feel good and pure.

13. There are a number of take away messages here
That could be one. Another is that the two party system is a merry go round so maybe trying something else might work or perhaps that doing the same thing over and over is the definition of insane. To mock those of us who are waking up to the awful reality doesn't seem the least bit helpful. I suppose you aren't going to wake up to the fact that the corporations are and will continue to destroy our country and it doesn't matter whether we have the ugly face (a) or the pretty face (b). Trust me, purity went the way of the dodo bird. We want honesty and/or follow through. Do you just want Team B to win, win, win!!! Maybe it's time to get rid of both teams.

17. Please read what Panel 3 actually says
"Party A blocks everything Party B tries to do, which is easy because many B's are really A's."

Trust me, there are no Liberals in Party A, so your reading of the 'toon is actually backasswards.
If the Party B posers would simply go ahead & join Party A we could all have more honest interactions.

There are conservative Dems, but no liberal Republicans.

12. He forgot to toss in Americans' demand for instant gratification. It took party A 8 years to make
the mess, but party B only gets a year to resolve it all.

16. AB-solutely SPOT-ON
When a centrist President of Party B employs Wall Street insiders to craft his economic policy but the Assholes of Party A convince their base it is MARXISM, then you know the stupidity is too deeply ingrained to prevent the vicious cycle.
