Breitbart: I Pay A Salary To Alleged Landrieu Plotter O'Keefe

Conservative new media figure Andrew Breitbart revealed last night on Hugh Hewitt's radio show that he pays a salary to James O'Keefe, the filmmaker who was charged yesterday in an alleged attempt to bug the phones of Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-LA).

But Breitbart, who runs the Big Government site where O'Keefe's now-famous ACORN sting videos were posted, is maintaining that he had no "connection to" the incident at Landrieu's New Orleans office.

Here's the key exchange from Breitbart's interview with Hewitt (emphasis ours):

4. Welcome to the party Andrew!
It is inconceivable that Breitbart was unaware of this operation. One would think and hope that the investigators assigned to this very serious case would already have served warrants to search Breitbart's computers and office.

6. Yep, he's involved.
He's getting it out there now, thinking that helps him.

He pays this guy and sponsors his dirty tricks. There's a legal relationship there which could certainly result in civil liability to Breitbart, and maybe criminal exposure.

7. BREITBART is son-in-law to Orson BEAN, is or was Matt PUDGE's partner in the PUDGE Report, & Ariana
Edited on Wed Jan-27-10 10:15 AM by UTUSN
used him as a consultant or developer or something in setting up the HuffPo.

Regarding the "partner" in the PUDGE Report, he was (is?) contributing about as significantly as PUDGE to the site, no doubt moreso when PUDGE was (SOME PEOPLE SAY) away at champaigne Sunday (or any day) brunches with new friends from late night club dates.

8. Here's hoping the threat of federal prison will flip O'Keefe, and...
provide evidence in a conspiracy case against Breitbart.

11. Interesting that Brietbart went to Tulane
That is also where the President of the Pelican Institute went, they seem about the same age, so maybe college buddies. Wonder if that is the reason for the choice of New Orleans.
