I'm no fan of Specter, but I prefer him over any Republican. That said, bad news coming from PA today:

PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER: "Former U.S. Rep. Pat Toomey has opened up a 14-point lead among likely voters in his bid to deny U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter a sixth term, according to the latest Daily News/Franklin & Marshall Poll." http://www.philly.com/philly/hp/news_update/82769067.html

Many of the people dissatisfied by the deficiencies of the Obama administration and the corporate "Democrats" are going to find that things will get much worse before they get better if they turn right instead of left and that they will be reduced to ruin by kleptocratic reactionaries.

Toomey belongs in an insane asylum...He makes Santorum look rational.

4. Obama
Obama had the ball and he made centrist moves and they have hurt him. The Clinton lite thing did not work. These are different times. he let the right get out ahead on the anger stuff. a big shift was needed and it did not come. Increasing the war, caving on health care and no jobs same old stuff. This stuff has been going on for couple of decades now.

2. Is there no way for Sestak to take him down?
We might have been better off saying "no" when he wanted to switch parties.

7. IF he can get past Specter in the primary
Such awful polling this early may help. If he's 20 points down to Toomey in March/April... maybe he'll drop out and take some token administration position and clear the field for Sestak (who wouldn't be favored but would at least have a shot).
