For those of you old enough to remember the TV show "Baretta" starring Robert Blake, you might find this post both funny and oddly on the mark.
Excerpt:
"Obama spent his summer talking about Harvard professors, cops, and holding beer summits; jetting off to Europe to make an appeal to bring the Olympics to Chicago; taking on FOX News on a petty level when he should have been focusing on his message that FOX News would have had to report, not on how their right-wing functionaries would invariably spin it. Forget FDR - to paraphrase the theme song from “Baretta,” Barack Obama took his eye off the sparrow.
“Don’t roll the dice if you can’t pay the price,” Sammy Davis Jr. sang way back when, articulating both the law of the jungle and the law of the land in that smooth, soulful, unmatched Sammy style. “Don’t run your feet down a dead-end street.”
