Will Obama lay the hammer down tonight?
Will he channel Harry Truman and FDR?

Will he say he's tried bipartisan politics but the other side won't play?

Will he show that some Dems do have backbones?

God, I hope so.

I don't expect him to have me up and screaming YOU GO, OBAMA! Because I'm a bit too liberal for even those who call themselves Democrats. BUT I feel that he's our last best hope for this country before it gets swallowed up by the corporations.

2. Ok, admit it!
You were eavesdropping in my dreams last night! Harrumph!

:)

I couldn't have said it better... I've been hoping for this kind of action for a while, and I'd pretty much determined he was going to give himself at least a full year to try and play fair with the cretins... well, the year is up, and I want to see something that renews my faith.

Please!

He is still our best hope...

3. (Big smile) I think that may have been a collective dream.
If he even gets close to that sort of action I'll be a happy camper.

10. Will Obama lay the hammer down tonight?
He lost his supermajority in the Senate. So he now needs Republicans.

He will play nice and try to win over Republicans.

12. If he does, we have to let him know we support that...
...otherwise he may go back to the kind of crap he's been listening to since he took office.

18. In retrospect...
I think he laid the hammer on the table, alluded to it several times, made note of it's presence and weight. Now he needs to follow through and bust some heads with it;)

Loved the speech.
