"Capitalist Tool"
We are nothing to them

It doesn't take much to figure that out.

We lose our jobs. The insiders have theirs forever.

Our wages are flat while Wall Street fat cats get ever increasing bonuses.

We lose our health coverage while Congress, the Judiciary, and the Executive branches enjoy the best insurance around.

Commercial credit for most is tight but the big banks have trillions in credit.

Organized crime would never have been this insensitive. At least, they realized that they needed customers with a few bucks to place a bet.

36. When I was in 6th grade, all the girls in the class were taken to the multipurpose room
and taught how to sit and walk like the women in our white suburb. I forget what else our principal that was urgent for prepubescent girls to know. How to sit with your legs crossed at the ankle, not the knee. Not birth control, not menses, not personal hygiene or safety. How to walk with a book on your head and to wear a pleasant expression. lol

5. Are you sure we are nothing to any of them?
Mr Geithner spent over two hours today testifying and assuring our elected officials that he has spent years of his life in service to Us the People.

From his mouth to God's ears...

51. Geithner should be in JAIL. He told AIG to lie and cover up their books..
Geithner knew.. so did Bernake. So what do we do? We re-appoint Bernake. Throw some more money at Geithner.

You are correct.. even the Mafia wouldn't be as bad as these Bankers.

It's all Kabuki... our government supports the Wall Street.. not Main Street.

You can't sell numbers if the people have no money.

What good is vice if nobody has "chump change?"

It's all about spreading it around so there's a take on the table. No spreading lately, just taking.

The well ran dry.

7. yep....
....the Prez definitely fits that discription....but what else would you expect from one of the two capitalist Parties?

....right now the wall street casinos, the banking parlors, capitalism and the capitalist Parties are extremely unpopular....the ground is fertile for something new....

....anyone who can define the wall street casinos, the banking parlors and the two capitalist Parties in the same breath, has a real chance for political success....especially when you consider this depression we're in is far from over....

Obama's unending jobs nightmare
By Hossein Askari and Noureddine Krichene

The Barack Obama administration is slowly waking up to reality, faced with an unemployment rate in the United States that has already exceeded 10% and is now firmly entrenched at around that level (or more than 17% using a more encompassing measure) and an ever increasing number of Americans impoverished and living on food stamps.

What matters most to the American electorate is jobs and their livelihood. For Democrats in congress, especially senators up for re-election in 2010, the same reality may mean deserting their president when it comes to key issues that are important to their constituencies back home.

The Secretary of the Treasury, Henry Paulson, told a private session of Congress that absent immediate aid, the financial calamity would be so devastating that Congress should prepare for riots by outraged citizens.

And I'm doing some tonight. If I didn't have to pay outrageous rates for being stuck in an insurance policy that I can't leave (but that I'm grateful to have!), I'd real a lot more;)

47. I like this part
"It didn't stop there. A few months into the era of hope and change, we found out that the administration was heavily staffed with CitiBank insiders who were doing their best to keep that tottering zombie walking as though it were alive.

All the while, the jobless rate rose month after month until real world unemployment reached 17%. Those official unemployment figures we get do not include workers who simply give up looking for jobs after months of finding nothing. They're unemployed, none the less.

Instead of focusing on jobs, the administration became obsessed with passing a health reform bill. It was reform, but not for citizen health. It seems that the health of the insurance companies was a bit off after years of bad investments and acquisitions. They needed 40 million new customers and a central role in the new plan. They got both. Citizens are now about to get a Frankenstein health bill that they can't afford. Hard to pay those premiums if you're out of work, earning flat wages for the past ten years.

Now we're told that domestic programs will be frozen for three years while foreign aid and military expenditures for Obama's new war in Afghanistan won't be touched.'

With a nod to Old Will (Shakespeare, not Pitt)!

Somewhere, someone is looking up plans on the Internet for how to build a guillotine. The People of America are crying for bread, brie, and Merlot! When the cupboard is finally really bare, then an interest in history may kick in.
