Inhofe calls Obama a great liar, says ‘most’ of State of the Union speech ‘wasn’t true.’

Reacting to President Obama’s first State of the Union, Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) told KRMG radio in Tulsa that he was impressed… with Obama’s ability to lie effectively. Cautioning that he “didn’t want to be discourteous about this,” Inhofe said, “If you look at the groups he’s catering too, there’s a little bit for everyone — most of it wasn’t true”:

INHOFE: I was thinking back to the first State of the Union Address with President Clinton, and I thought this guy can say things that are untrue with greater conviction than anyone I’ve ever seen. I honestly think that Obama is better. And I don’t mean that unkindly.

When he says things that he knows are not right, we know these are his weakest points and he tries to make them into his strongest points. … So many things that he’s said, ‘all of our troops out by August,’ well that just isn’t going to happen. … So I was very disappointed, but at the same time, I have to say that he was so incredibly eloquent, that I see a lot of people that I look at next to me that you know don’t agree with this stuff and they start nodding in approval.

2. Wow!
It's just staggering, the amount of partisan bullshit that gets to the public nowadays. Crap like this only stirs up the pot and makes everyone's job more difficult. We all know Imhofe is 'unbalanced' and I don't mean to be discourteous about this.... :)

5. Notice there is no specific examples of what was "not true". Same ol' GOP Teabagger dog whistling.

9. Yep, just start shouting. Whether they have any evidence is of no importance.

6. I can only hope that President Obama is informed of Inhofe's
declaration and fully comes to the understanding that Republicans are not even going to pretend they want to get along with the Democratic majority.

7. This is what was said:
--As we take the fight to Al Qaeda, we are responsibly leaving Iraq to its people. As a candidate, I promised that I would end this war, and that is what I am doing as president.

We will have all of our combat troops out of Iraq by the end of this August.

(APPLAUSE)

We will support -- we will support the Iraqi government -- we will support the Iraqi government as they hold elections, and we will continue to partner with the Iraqi people to promote regional peace and prosperity.

But make no mistake: This war is ending, and all of our troops are coming home.

So many things that he’s said, ‘all of our troops out by August,’ well that just isn’t going to happen.

So Inhofe mixes up the wording to suit his purpose, meanwhile I'm not impressed with Inhofe's "ability to lie effectively".

13. Support the Iraqi government?

No F*cking way.

They are corrupted, almost as bad as Saddam's regime, and NOT to be trusted.

We bombarded the nation with depleted uranium, killed 1.3 million of its' citizens and made 4 million of them refugees, and Obama said we should support them?

Support them MY ASS.

8. Have you noticed how easily the GOP will lie themselves in order
to accuse Democrats falsely.

11. As a great liar himself, Inhofe has a contribution here if his head weren't so far up his ass

14. As one of Inhofe's unfortunate constituents, I can say with a high degree of certainty,
that Inhofe should know a liar when he sees one.

But above all, Inhofe is a bigot and a hypocrite, and those two things go above all else. The mere presence of a black man in the White House and speaking to the nation is an affront to Inhofe, so anything that person might have to say would be listened to with ears attached to a soul full of hate for that person.

Inhofe is...well...Inhofe. Enough said. He's an embarrassment to Oklahoma and a disgrace to the United States.
