I'm really starting to feel the hope again! :) I know this will take time to play out, but I definitely like what I'm hearing about job creation, deficit reduction and yeah, health care. :woohoo:

3. That he's still determined to get it passed.
I realize the bill is far from perfect, but I am of the mind-set that we have to start somewhere. If that just means the insurance companies can't deny coverage for pre-existing conditions and drop you if you get sick, that's a good beginning.

6. I heard that abolishing pre-existing conditions is in danger of being dropped
There's been so much behind-the-scenes negotiating that I can't be sure one way or the other.

7. What I hear is all over the place.
We will have to see the final bill. I'm just talking about what Obama wants.

9. That's the problem, you "hear" it
Conservative rumormongers are trying to kill enthusiasm and conservative Democrats are floating trial balloons to see what we'll take before we go into flat out rebellion against the party.

Continue to register your anger any way you can. They are paying attention. I think even the hidebound, arrogant conservatives realize they'll be out on their asses if they don't allow a few decent provisions through.

8. UI is has nothing to do with Obama unless you need an extension after 26 weeks.

11. If there were jobs available, I wouldn't need UI
but jobs for my profession -- Mainframe IT programmer analyst -- are either being filled by imported Indians or are being outsourced.

... I wanna SEE him kicking some asses and shoving some progressive, people-friendly policies down the do-nothings' throats.

Reducing interest on student loans! Forgiving student loans after 20 years, or after 10 years with public service! GOBAMA!
