I am sure you know this by now: NOT ONE single Republican had
anything positive to say about the President's SOTU last night...I have watched and read all day long, the comments from the pukes in Congress have ranged from accusing him of lying, to dismissing his attempt to reach out to them, to even acknowledging that some of his proposals are worth working on BECAUSE they may help out the people.

I honestly think they flat out see him as their shoe shinning boy!!!

1. Welcome to DU!
:hi: and it's their (GOP) waterloo now. I don't think they know how to respond. Pres. Obama called them out last night for their inaction in solving problems. So if they continue to do nothing and oppose him in everything, even things they say they are for like tax cuts and freezing spending, then they will look like fools.

2. That's because the Repukes are demonstrated lock-steppers

They showed us how well they could do that with their term as GWB's rubber stamp. Why should they be any different today?

3. He could follow the straight Republican ideology...
And they would still find fault. If Obama followed to the letter what they themselves would try to make you believe they would have him do... they'd still complain.

You're right... that's how they would treat a shoeshine guy too... sadly. My granddad always said, you can test a man's moral compass by the shoes he wears, and how he treats the man that shines them.

5. They have created an "us against them" climate in this country. When even
our elected officials, supposedly stately Senators, behave like 10 year old bullies, it filters down to the masses.

I've become even more aware that regardless of the issue, the Republicans' first argument is always the cost. The money. I find that shameful and heartbreaking.

I can't believe each and every one of them is so cold hearted, but how could we think otherwise?

Welcome to DU! :hi:

6. the GOP started a war 30 years ago, and it's against the American working class
I looked forward to the day the working class wakes the fuck up and turns all their rage on the GOP.

The GOP=Fascist American Party

8. None of them want to be blacklisted by Limbaugh.

They all know what happens to rethuglicans who fall out of favor with OxyRush, they might
as well plan their retirement. That is why they all kiss his pimple festered ass. Limbaugh
tells his Shittoheads how to think and who to vote for.

9. That's because they aren't capable of thinking as individuals.
They take their marching orders from the Fetid Fatman.

11. You know, for the sole purpose of stopping them, it might be
worth lock stepping.

12. So I guess Chris Matthews was right?
From the beltway insider mentality (which Matthews has), the idea Obama sounded like an angry president at an inactive congress was not very welcome and surprising to them because so many of them "see him as their shoe shinning boy". Interesting.

14. If you remember..
they were almost the same way about President Clinton. The very day he took the oath they starting sluring and dissing. They set out to try to get him impeached by manufacturing crap about him. They killed vince foster. They were guilty of try to steal money thru whitewater and on and on. And then Clinton fell into their trap they had Linda Trapp set. I am so glad the republicans fired her ass as soon as they took office. She deserved it. And do you think they wanted a back stabber to work for them, heck no.
