A national debate, that is. Game-show style, to keep the attention of the right wing.

I would love to see a high-profile individual chosen for conservatives/teabaggers/evangelicals and another chosen for liberal/progressives -- or maybe several for each.

And I would like to have them debate only one single question:

"What is America supposed to be?"

I listen to these freaking nutjobs on the right, and they are so full of contradictions, so full of hate, so full of hypocrisy, that perhaps if we could get them to clearly debate what America is supposed to be with a liberal, the Independents and moderate Republicans would have a clear record of what these people (I use the term loosely) actually stand for.

Wishful thinking, I know...Maybe some smart network will figure out a way to do it. I bet Regis would host it...!

2. He's a liberal, I think
so the wingers would say the debate was biased. Someone neutral...how about the Dog Whisperer?

7. No way, get Richard Dawson
out of retirement. We'll do this "Running Man" style.

4. Wait, what IS America supposed to be?
Are you saying Obama or the DNC has an answer?

Besides '42' I mean.

Or Stephen Colbert. Maybe America is supposed to be Colbert

and so can you.

5. I'm not so sure about that
The teabagger would spend the entire time yelling "fuck you" at the liberal while the liberal attempted to find "common ground" with the teabagger.

IOW, it would be exactly like our current political climate.

But I WOULD pay to see a nude mud wrestling match between Sarah Palin and Hillary Clinton.
