It's time to call on Congress: VOTE NO on war funding until a Public Option is signed into law. |
|
It would be one of the most patriotic acts in American history.

12. I usually feel that way too, especially lately. |
|
But I think the reality of the situation is perhaps opening up the Dem's eyes. That they simply have to get tougher and adopt a more agressive approach or they know they'll get little to nothing done.
Elected Dem's need to understand that it is time to use leverage. Threatening a no vote on war funding could be a powerful bargaining chip.
I'm not really holding my breath. But I hope they grow a pair soon and at least attempt to fight for the people.
Hope is all I got left.
Peace.

7. Agree. I'd prefer NO war funding at all but we both know that's a dream at least for the time being. |
|
Might as well use war funding to get HCR. To me HC is worth it. Pass it by any means necessary.
Political fallout? Perhaps. But we've seen the fallout already from failure to reform HC.
Threaten to defund war can be a powerful bargaining chip for real HCR. Meaning nothing less than a strong PO.
Dems have more power than they realize. They have no spine to act on this bargaining power.
I now understand why union members and other normally loyal Dem voters revolted in Mass.

6. You actually believe your congress person will go with and or do the will of the "real" people? |

9. I know, I'm crazy for suggesting it! =) |

:silly:  :silly:
Honestly, I believe Dems are starting to open their minds to new strategies regarding HCR.
Not saying they'll adopt the strategy in my OP, not yet anyway.
But perhaps one day. All I'm saying is it's time to call on Congress to take a real stand.
Hope is all I got left.
Peace

11. The mind boggles. Imagine how many still think our "elections" are legit! |

At this point I'm just kicking back, watching as the inevitable horror show plays itself out as the empire is circumstantially forced to reveal more and more of its true colors.

13. I certainly understand that sentiment and am also frustrated. Almost to the point of giving up.. |

and boycotting but in the end I'll begrudgingly go hold my nose and vote.
For some reason voting still gives me hope. I don't know why.
Hope is all I got left.
Peace.

10. Thanks for getting involved. I'm calling too. I already have called but I'm calling again. |

The White House. My Congressman. My Sens. the DNC.
I think they all need to hear this.
Thanks again!
