We won't be watching the Superbowl. |
|
Not so long as CBS is determined to broadcast right-wing propaganda messages while denying progressive ads. No football game is worth supporting that kind of disgusting behavior, at least not to our family. We'll be rooting for the Saints here at home, but we will NOT watch the game--or the commercials. I know CBS doesn't give a damn, but I wanted to say it anyway.
Geaux Saints! CBS, geaux to hell.

5. Me either, because of what CBS is doing, so fuck all the sponsors for my money |
|

We need the Fairness Doctrine. Need it need it.
Now, if they get sane before the game airs and remove that absolutely insane Focus on the Family shit, I will change my mind.
Alternatively, if CBS will air a gay dating or pro-choice commercial ALONG WITH FOTF's ad, I will also change my mind.

6. I'll be watching it with a good friend who's a refugee from New Orleans.. |
|
and a lesbian.
Were both refugee's (lost my home and almost all my belongings to Hurricane Wilma a few years back) so this game is important to both of us.
Go Saints!

9. Is the RW side of this the Tim Tebow ad? And is it anti-choice? |
|
Too many things going on, not sure if I'm mixing them together.

10. It's a combination of things... and not just during THIS Superbowl |
|
It's the Focus on the Fucktards/Tebow ad... It's them turning down an ad for a gay dating service. This time...
Before that, the ad execs who handle the Superbowl have turned down ads from the United Church of Christ (the 'Jesus didn't discriminate... neither do we' ad), while during the same game running that homophobic Snickers ad.
They claim that they don't/didn't want to take an ad that involved a controversial topic... what they really meant was that they didn't want to sell airtime to anyone on the progressive side of the issues.
Fuck CBS. Not one minute of my day will you get, that day or any day.
Geaux Saints.

I'll be watching the Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet. Two hours of frolicking puppies with doggie toys on a fake football field. And there are kittens for the half-time show. :)
