If you live or have friends/family in a Republican/Blue Dog congressional district....
..this thread is for you.

In this thread, we can identify incumbents or challengers who we need to defeat this year and true liberal Democratic candidates for Congress.

I'll start. This one is for my relatives in CA CD-3.

Dr. Ami Bera, a Democrat, is running against Republican Congressman Dan Lungren in California's 3rd Congressional District.

"In my life, I've been fortunate to serve in many different roles. From Physician to Clinical Professor of Medicine at UC Davis, from volunteer to board member, from husband to father. In 2010, it’s my hope to serve as a member of Congress for District 3 in California.

Like many of you, I grew up in a strong community—built on local schools, youth sports and neighbors watching out for neighbors. In these challenging times, we need to return to our old sense of community. I want to connect with you, hear your concerns, and discuss how we can make our neighborhoods an even better place to live."

1. I believe

that we need a place to maintain a list of Dem challengers (and an incumbent scorecard) so that we can have a handy reference when the campaigns heat up & donations are needed.

Is the research forum appropriate for that?

(My crowded brain needs lists these days. What can I say?)

edit to correct parentheses

5. I think one place for all races might be more useful.
I might want to throw money at races in other states.
