One. Since the Republicans are of one mind, all it takes to defeat all of them is to defeat one. (as long as it's Obama.

The answer is, all of them.

Obama delivered a nice speech - great speech - and clearly embarrassed Republicans when superior debate skill and clarity of thought. He clearly won any sort of "matching of wits" that day.

But it takes all of us to defeat republicans and the powers and forces in Washington that back them (and too many Democrats as well).

Please, please stop looking to one super-hero to be a your savior. It's not what Obama wanted when he said "You are the change that You've been waiting for" and when it urged us to "me me do it."

4. You have a very good point.
As wonderful as it is to bask in the glow of what happened yesterday, this is no time to just assume we're in the clear and that our president is going to do it all for us or even for all the Democrats in Congress. He never said he was going to do it singlehandedly so we shouldn't expect him to.

What we have the right to expect from him is leadership. Recently his leadership skills had been looking a bit thin. This week it looks as if they're back to full power. That's good, but you're right, it's not the whole shooting match, just a powerful component of it.
