Help make CNN report the news......
I was shocked to read a lot of news that I have never seen show up on the main stream media outlets...or even here in DU when I followed a link about the terrible disaster in the Dakotas.
There are a lot of articles in there that need to go out to the world because the main stream media is ignoring these brave people that are fighting so hard to make the world a better place.

http://www.bsnorrell.blogspot.com/

If you scroll down there is an article that gives the phone numbers etc for CNN in an attempt to force them to report this story.
Even though the article says to call on this friday...call anytime..and don't give up please. People are depending on us.

They are still waiting for Obama to declare the area a disaster area and fema has not shown up.
No electricity, heat or water for six days now with record freezing temperatures and I am sure the food is running out as well.

If we can even get one of the main stream media to pick up this story..we can save a lot of lives right here in America.

Thank you for all you do

1. CNN is breathlessly waiting for the John Edwards sex tape.
And Harry Reid's 'negro' comment still gets residual air time. Wolfie doesn't care about electrical outages on Indian reservations. (Unfortunately)

3. I really don't watch Fox I get too upset at the lies
But sometimes I flip thru and catch a news article. They do tell more news than CNN or MSNBC. You can find out a lot that is going on that the other two never report on, but the thing is it turns your stomach to sit thru the rest of the crap first.

10. AP put out a story today:
Sioux reservation struggling after winter storms

Associated Press

Updated: 02/01/2010 08:57:05 PM PST

EAGLE BUTTE, S.D. (AP) — Moving to the top of Mona Longbrake's must-have list is a portable generator.

She and hundreds of others on the sprawling Cheyenne River Indian Reservation in north central South Dakota are in their second week without electricity. And they have no idea when it will be restored.

"It's getting tiring," she said Monday, after contacting the utility company to get some sense of when the lights will be back on at her ranch southeast of Eagle Butte.

A fierce ice storm hit the reservation Jan. 20, coating roads and electrical lines and forcing shops and schools to close. Before residents could recover from the ice, a blizzard tore through the Dakotas, bringing a few inches of snow and wind gusts from 25 mph to 50 mph.

11. I had no idea
I am originally from ND and I like to keep up on as much news as possible from there, but I have not heard about this. I am currently living overseas so I do tend to be behind on any news from the Dakotas. I hope this gets picked up on CNN, especially the Situation Room or Anderson Cooper because I get to see parts of those shows here.
