that they actually sometimes root for the Pats... :)

I root for other teams too...especially teams that play against the Colts and the Jets.

6. I will not. Teeebooo and his mom can go to hell. Hope after it's all over and Tiller is still dead
and others are under threat you feel good for having watched and encouraged the fanatic right.

7. You are making it about the fanatic right by focusing the entire
Super Bowl on the one ad. By continually focusing on it that is what it becomes instead of what it is -- a football championship that alot of people like to watch while drinking and eating. It is fun.

No exceptions.

57. Doesn't matter if it was CBS or the ad. DU would find some way to make it political.
Everything must be either good or evil, Democrats or Republicans, Progressives or freepers.

27. Well, even in the face of all that...
I'm still gonna watch the Superbowl next week, but I'll be sure to plug up all the keyholes and put blankets over the windows so the fanatic RW can't see me watching it and get all encouraged or anything.

19. Although I'm not a fan of any team I enjoy watching football,
but I have personally banned watching the Super Bowl for years. I just resented the notion that everybody "has" to be watching, especially living in Wisconsin when years ago the Packers were in the Super Bowl.

46. Yeah, it just started. But they're only showing network "lowlights" of the season
Lowlights like out-of-focus closeups of the head linesman's butt, extreme closeups of unidentified linemen's knuckles on the ground, extreme cloesups of quarterbacks' teeth, helmet earholes, nostrils, eyes, and various other body parts, all while the play is starting and I want to see what's happening on the field, but the body-parts fetishist in the network control room is choosing between showing us coaches on the sidelines, sleeping babies in the stands, or half-naked crazy people in -15 wind chills, all instead of showing us the formations or who is carrying the ball.

Sorry to hijack your post with my rant, but it seemed like the perfect lead-in.

But looking at other posts here - I guess there isn't. Hey, I'm not a football fan so I probably wouldn't know there's a Superbowl if one was being set up in my front yard.
