Rachel Maddow came to MTP loaded for bear! |
|
Edited on Sun Feb-14-10 10:40 AM by Ilsa
I suppose she'd disagree with my hunting metaphor, but I stand by it: she came with printed quotes to read regarding terrorism trials. Her demeanor is more serious than it is on her show. She is making her points succinctly and well.
BTW, the young freshman GOPer Representative is a joker that regurgitates Cheney talking points.

He is owned by Wall Street. I dislike him more every time I see him.

2. "The factual basis for your assertions is so thin," she said |
|
to the freshman Repub Representative and David Broder about their claim that Mirandizing terrorism suspects allows them to clam up and not cooperate during questioning and investigation.

5. She definitely pwned them. |
|
The little twit was just sputtering talking points given him by Papa Boehner. Once Rachel peeled those away, he had nothing left.

9. Yes! "PWNED!" he tried to ask her if she'd give back her Bush tax cut, a ridiculous |
|
assertion. Harold Ford is doing a decent job bringing up the rear, supporting her criticisms, and offering the soft-sell summary call-to-action.

3. Ooh -- I recorded it, I can hardly wait to watch. I think she is the BEST at |
|
getting points across so everybody can understand the situation. She simplifies it and just gives us what we need to know.
I didn't see the first time she was on, and didn't watch my recording after everybody here was saying how they kind of ran roughshod over her, so I'm really looking forward to this. :hi:

29. She didn't let a single GOP talking point remain unchallenged |
|
She was fantastic.
Frequently Obama's responses are too nuanced to be effective.
Rachael Maddow is more like the Big Dog in that she can take a complicated issue and respond in a way that is both in detail yet understood in the gut.
I thought the GOP freshman WAS honest in that the reason the GOP was supporting some things was that they saw the polling was on their side on those issues so that's why they supported them.
