Why isn't "Invictus" playing in Omaha? I've searched for explanations to no avail.

Anyone know if there is some controversy about the movie playing in certain areas?

1. How about: It's been out for weeks and isn't a financial hit?

The fact that it's up for an Oscar doesn't mean they'll reissue it in every market. They focus on NYC and LA because that's where the voters are.

2. But, I can't even find it at the cheap places. So that all there is to it? It was a dud?

5. It was actually a pretty good film

but it was a real art piece and it didn't play well in a lot of places. I doubt the repeat theaters would pull it up when they have the brilliance of the squeakuel to keep pulling in the little ones.

Are there any art houses in Omaha? You might try calling one of them to get an idea if it might make an appearance.
