First a note, YES the quality of these videos (10 frames a sec or less) and photos suck. Sorry but a 2nd gen iPhone is the only thing I had to record with. So just keep that in mind before watching the videos. So after winning the Gold in Men's Hockey we just had to go downtown to catch a bit of the celebrations. I remember the streets here in North Vancouver went crazy when we won the 2002 Gold medal and that wasn't on home soil. Well they didn't disappoint, it was loud, rowdy (though happy and not violent), booze fuelled, and fun! Lots of cute girls in short skirts yelling and hollering along with the guys :D (though you can't see many in the videos). Saw a couple of girls had signatures all over their boobs, sadly I didn't get a pic of those :( . This is NOT at all my type of thing I normally like (immature, rowdy, goofy, sports related) but the celebratory atmosphere is infectious! The party is no doubt going to go all night long here. The street cleaners have a lot of deal with tomorrow as the ground is littered with empty beer bottles and paper plates (mostly from pizza places). Police confiscated any beer and booze that they could see but 95% of the stuff was concealed in 7-11 cups and other containers. We left at about 9:30 and there was no signs that things were going to let up any time soon.
