I expected it from Capito, but I am deeply disappointed in Mollohan and Rahall. :(

9. and my rep Alan Grayson.... |
|
my feeling is that this is something they want to do later so it does not eclipse the health care debate. At least I hope this is why....

24. Yay for the Minneapolis-St. Paul Congresscritters and for Jim Oberstar |
|
as well as for my favorite Oregonian reps, DeFazio and Blumenauer, and a pat on the back to David Wu, who as a former immigration lawyer, must have some insight into the minefields in this bill.

And, I don't vote for those that back repression or wars.

15. Glad to see that my rep (Ed Markey) voted no, |
|
as did Mike Capuano, who I wish had gotten the Dem senate nomination here; don't know if he would have won, but I think he had a better chance than Coakley.

19. Reps from Oregon's metro areas voted NO. |
|
I guess I'll have to try to be nicer to mine.
The biggest surprises on that list for me are Conyers and Grayson. Even if there is a bigger brew that needs boiling down, the very existence of this nasty patch of legal theory is an affront to the lifeblood of a democratic republic and those elected to act as conduits of the public will should vote in a manner that reflects that. Regardless of what peripheral matters may be.
As KO pointed out years ago, the bill of rights has been stripped of it's last letter. I want the rest of my rights back please, NOW would be oh so nice, tyvm.
