"Poll" Robo call I just received

Now, I'm paraphrasing, but here we go.

Are you fed up with Liberal Democrats disregarding the Constitution in Washington? (Clearly a yes or no answer is required), then it hangs up.

The caller ID says PolldataRSH2010

I'm in Iowa and this is ticking me off. I have no idea who or what these calls are from, but I receive about 20 of them a day.

1. There should be a state or federal oversight

whether its a private person or company, start with elections commission you can file a complaint, you can also file a complaint with federal trade commission and the federal interstate communications agency.

I did find a place where there are other complaints about this same number.....so, Yes, I will do it, just have to get my ducks in a row! (Quack)

5. So far, I found listings of other people who get the calls

and they seem to be coming from a "spoofed" number.

The "poll" questions are much more complex than a yes or no answer and are definitely coming from a republican viewpoint.

Some of the other people on the comments when I search on the number seem to think they are from Rep Steve King, but I'm not in his district. Then again, he is a card-carrying cray person, so who knows.

Anyway, I'll be calling/sending my complaints to various organizations tomorrow morning.

6. I've received several different types of robocalls from Steve King,

so wouldn't be surprised if yours are originating in his organization.

I finally sent an e-mail asking to be removed from all his mailing lists and all his robocall lists immediately, and haven't had one since (knock wood) so maybe it would be worth your while to try that.

Being added to his robocall list seems to be the price one pays for expressing an opinion in his general direction.
