Harold Ford shows his true colors
Harold Ford Jr. takes parting shot at Democratic leaders
http://content.usatoday.com/communities/onpolitics/post/2010/03/harold-ford-jr-slams-democratic-leaders-in-farewell-op-ed/1

As we told you last night, Harold Ford Jr., has an op-ed in today's New York Times to announce that he won't challenge Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand for the Democratic nomination for Senate in New York. But he didn't go quietly.

Ford offered up a searing indictment of party leaders, both state and national.

In his op-ed, Ford said "party bosses" tried to "bully me out of the race." They are the "same people responsible for putting Democratic control of the Senate at risk," he said.

During his brief campaign, Ford said he found that the public is "nervous" and "clamoring for change" but "too few in the Democratic Party are really willing to break with orthodoxy" to solve problems. State Democrats, he said, "spent too much time this past year supporting a national partisan political agenda — and not enough time looking out for their own constituents."

Ouch.

He's a dino as far as I can see. Glad they didn't support him. I'm sorry they are supporting Blanche here in Arkansas, but hey, at least we don't have to worry about Harold.

1. Harold is good guy
just because he doesn't suck up to the party bosses doesn't make him a DINO.

Lest you forget, the party bosses, & Coakley, managed to lose the Blue-est senate seat in the union.

4. Harold is a liar and says what is politically
expedient. He is for/against abortion. He is for/against gay rights. He is a carpet bagger who is so blatant, he didn't bother to change his state info. He sucks in my opinion, but glad to see he has some supporter.

6. What has he done or said to make you think he is a real Democrat?
Every word I hear out of his mouth is against Democrats and favorable toward Republicans, but maybe you know something I don't?

14. Pot Calling Kettle Black
This DLC twit came to my state thinking he could just waltz into a senate seat because wall street is backing him. That support should tell you all you need to know about him.

16. He thought he could buy
the senate seat with his wall street pals. I'm proud my state saw through this miserable excuse for a democrat and kept him from trying to win that seat. Trying to fool people into thinking he is pro-choice and pro gay marriage now that he wants to run in a very blue state. He's lucky he didn't embarass himself further.

2. he's a real shit. What really happened: he did a poll, and the results stank
Now, he portrays himself as an honorable democrat, withdrawing for the good of the party. RIIIIIIGHT. This SOB comes to town, tells them he wants to be senator, and begins a campaign, and he does this for the good of the party? Uh uh. I don't buy that.

The party insiders would have flocked to him like moths to a lamp, had he been electable, instead of an arrogant, shallow, hypocrite with the widespread, political appeal of three week old sushi.

7. Wish it actually was a parting shot
Why doesn't he just run as a republican? That's what he is anyway. Thank god the "party bosses" bullied the whining little weasel out of the race, although IMO the people of NY are too smart to elect a douchebag like him.

Far as national democratic support for Lincoln, I think we'll find that it will turn out to be lukewarm at best. was disappointed that Obama made a statement of support for her, but, hey, he kinda has to do that, at least until he gets the health care bill through.
