Dems!!! Pay VERY Close Attention To This: SPECTER SURGING IN PA
For the record, I'm all for getting rid of Specter BUT Dems should pay heed to what happened here. He had to take a hard tack to his left because of a primary threat from Sestak. And guess what happened when he went LEFT?

Poll: Specter Surge In Pennsylvania

new poll out this morning shows Sen. Arlen Specter on top for the first time in a while in the Pennsylvania Senate race. The new Quinnipiac poll shows Specter ahead of GOP nominee Pat Toomey by a 7 points, 49-42.

Going Left is how you save yourself guys. Take heed.

1. I guess what we need is more and more objective proof that going left is the answer.
This must be verbalized...just as the truth about the health care bill must shouted out loud. If the majority of the people do not like it..it is because it DOES NOT GO FAR ENOUGH! Not because it goes too far, as the repukes are trying to claim.

2. I think you get votes by going either hard left or hard right
All conversations focus on swing votes - swing votes never land in the middle.

4. If 'hard right' were successful we'd have a strong Moral Majority party by now
and maybe a President Dobson

Hard right was a tactic to refresh the dwindling voter pool

8. The problem was that the Repubs were racing off the right wing cliff into fascism..
with the DLC trying to maintain an arm's length away from the Repubs and shouting, "We're like the Repubs but not as bad!" Howard Dean, a former DLC man himself, realized what a bunch of idiots the DLC leaders had become, and his responses to them was, "Hey guys, the Center is Left of where you are heading."

6. FYI: at least as far as PA polls are concerned, the Quinnipiac is always closest.
Obviously a lot of shit can change between now and November, but that's the one to watch in this race. They've been way off base with respect to other polls and still been correct in the end.

By the way, Toomey is another Santorum wannabe asshole. I think he should move to VA and get a small shack in PA to call his primary residence. Hopefully it will work as well for him as it did for Santorum

9. No, That's Why I Support Sestak, I'm Just Making The Observation
About what happens when he DOES move left; his support INCREASES. It's a direct correlation, IMO.

14. Gotcha.
It says something about the Democratic party that they will push life long members of their party out of a primary in order to make room for an opportunist from the enemy camp.

Big tent or wolf in the hen house?

It's bad enough when a Democrat fakes left and moves right. But when a Republican does so as a Democrat...I hope Sestak can take Specter out. And I doubt Specter can serve out a full term. He's about as feeble as one can be.

15. Don't be surprised if he switches back to caucus with "his friends on the other side of the aisle"
if he wins the election.

13. +1. Yes. To you & me & DU.
But where's the coverage in the media? Where's the awe of liberal & progressive passion?

Maybe we need a new, spiffy name.

All we heard after brown's election in MA was that this is a rwingnut country. 24/7 coverage of the TB'ers. Ugh, they are as nasty as viral pustules.

18. We know the corporate owned media will not report success from the left side of the spectrum
However, I assume all the Blue Dogs have internal polling. And I am sure it did not escape their notice that Alan Grayson raised more money than any candidate from either party in the last FEC reporting period.

16. And that's compared to "Toomey leads Sestak 39 - 36 percent"
with 24 percent undecided. Which is food for thought, for those saying there must be a push for Sestak.
