12. It´s in the Constitution, isn´t it? Would it require a Constitutional Amendment?
It´s much less expensive than any other forms of "mailing" or shipping.

Just think what UPS and Fed Ex would charge if they were the only game in town.

8. I love the USPS!
The other day I had to return a defective keyboard to the manufacturer. So I boxed it up, measured & weighed it, printed out a mailing label at the USPS web site and requested that the carrier pick it up at our front door. She picked it up and left the mail at our door on a ledge under a window.

They couldn't make it any easier.

I like the UPS, too. But I would never want to lose the USPS.

13. Me too!
USPS has become so efficient and user-friendly. I love their one rate boxes, brilliant idea.

10. I guess it's too egalitarian for the tastes of CNBC's talking heads
To hell with all those people who live in remote locations and tiny towns who wouldn't get any mail or package delivery if not for the 'socialized' postal service, right? Howzabout we just turn ownership of the streets in front of their McMansions back to them. Let them fill their own damned potholes, hire their own private police & firefighters, and treat their own sewage.

14. When we build our next house, we will be doing just that...
The understructure will be steel reinforced concrete. On the outside, it'll look like a typical house.
It will have a fire suppression system and security system - break resistent glass and steel-core doorsframes.
It will have it's own water well and septic system and backup generator.
I will also use geothermal heating and propane & fuel oil to supplement.

For the most part, the house will be non-reliant on the grid.
Then I can hurl insults with impunity at our socialistic system.
