Fifth grader brings pot laced cereal treats to class


PITTSBURG, Calif. (AP) -- Police say a fifth grader brought special kind of Fruity Pebbles treats to school on Monday that contained marijuana.

According to police, several fifth graders at Stoneman Elementary School shared the treats, which the fifth grade girl apparently knew were laced with marijuana.

According to Pittsburg School Superintendent Barbara Wilson, a couple of students told school staff, who then called police.

The student who brought the treats to school said she took them from her older sister who bought them from a medical marijuana dispensary.

Pittsburg police are investigating whether the older sister had a legitimate card to obtain the pot.
