Holey moley. He shut down a RW hate propagandist. Turned off is mic and told him that this was a "waste of oxygen."

I didn't catch the first part of the interview. I did see him kick him off though.

8. Here's a link. (It's worth checking out. Dylan flat-out punks the tea-bagger dipshit.)

4. Although I agree with Ratigan's feelings, I DO think he was a tad over the top =-
he could have gotten more incriminating answers from Williams if he'd let him spout more BS --

I posted in another thread (this is the third on on this!) that it was like Tweety -- Demanding an answer, but not actually stopping long enough to get one.

5. Uh-huh. I thought he lost it.
I empathize with his anger and frustration, but I felt he "blew his cool" and lost control of the interview. Dylan is smart enough to have surgically dismembered that guy.

6. Sometimes, you have to fight fire with fire

Talking over others is the most favorite tactic of the right, along with obfuscation. Ratigan's guest was doing both. If his group wasn't racist at heart, he could easily have come out and said so. He could have avoided the whole thing by answering the question. What was he afraid of in saying "no", if indeed the group isn't racist? I can see how Ratigan got frustrated. He's not the only one who is grossly sick of that kind of shit. These do not understand politeness, and they have no respect for views other than their own. The only way to reach them is to use their own tactics on them.

7. Wow, Dylan is hard to the kizz-ore!
I don't normally watch his show, but I've seen him once on the Political Videos section.

Rachel Maddow also backed off "ex-gay" activist Richard A. Cohen in another highly recced Political Video. It could be a drinking game to see how much Cohen evades tough questions about his disgraceful lack of ethics.

For hardcore KO'ing interviews, watch MSNBC. For compassionate, intelligent conversations, watch Bill Moyers Journal or any other talk on PBS or NPR.
