5. It's a first step, one that starts the "slippery slope" toward universal healthcare.

10. They were supposed to "fix" NAFTA.
Which, like the Senate bill, was a complete and total piece of shit that helps nobody but corporations when they passed it. And remains so to this day.

"Pass the piece of crap and fix it later" will not work this time. Once everyone is forced to buy corporate insurance, the DLC will tell us the problem is "solved".

11. Agreed
Democratic legislators are in a damned-if-you-damned-if-you-don't situation here.

And all for a deeply flawed piece of shit legislation, at that.

9. Thank you for the teabagger talking points.
Now meanwhile in the real world, the adults are actually working on fixing the situation.

12. "Talking points"
The words that posters use when they don't have anything real to argue a point with another poster here at DU.

16. heh... you certainly set the bar low, and
have a deluded metric for what constitutes "fixing".

If by "fixing" you mean creating a mandate to purchase a crappy product from a FOR PROFIT corporation and terms for legal citizenship, well, then I guess they are.

Oh, yesh, they're "fixing" it all right. They fixing it good. :eyes: :puke:
