Yup, that'll be the Blanche Lincoln strategy for the primary:

TPMDC spoke with several Democratic senators on Capitol Hill today who said the party will close ranks around Lincoln and that she won't have to worry about rogue endorsements. The Lincoln camp and her supporters will accurately frame the challenge from Halter as "liberal, out-of-state Democrats" and sources familiar with the race said Lincoln will soon roll out high-profile local endorsements to shore up her side. The White House is backing Lincoln and already has done fundraising on her behalf. An Obama aide wouldn't say today if that will continue.

National Democrats were even more frank, saying Halter's challenge will force Lincoln to dip into her massive $5.1 million war chest that she will need in the fall against a Republican foe.

she worked so hard voting against healthcare and other dem priorities to get all that $ too.
The WH backing her is astounding really, it's like they are saying kick me again I deserve more. But they aren't real dems either now are they?

3. The Democratic Party will be making a huge mistake if they do indeed "close ranks around Lincoln".

If they circle that wagons around Blanche, they will be fencing OUT the base of their own party.

4. This is why I am registered as an independent.

I never want the democratic party to take me for granted. I will most certainly donate to Mr. Halter.
Ms. Lincoln will get the "punch" this time around.
