Sick to Death of this Courteous Dem Line of Dialogue: "I don't question his passion or sincerity." |
|
Edited on Tue Mar-02-10 07:36 PM by Mike 03
I am sick of hearing Democrats let republicans off the hook for the deranged choices they make, and the demented speeches they make on the floor, or in committee, or mouthing off to CSPAN or CNN.
"Deep down, I respect (fill in the name of a repuke) and I don't question his objective, passion or sincerity..."
What a crock of crap.
The gloves have to come off. This is RIDICULOUS.
I DO question their passion and sincerity. I don't think the repukes are passionate or sincere when they block vital legislation like HCR, COBRA, Unemployment Insurance extension.
Why are we Dems so courteous to these hypocritical pieces of shit.
Bunning has spent the last 48 hours lecturing the American people that we need to Pay as we Go, but he voted AGAINST Paygo.
This is really Alice through the Looking Glass stuff.
Why don't more Americans comprehend the insanity of this last minute con-job which is nothing more than an attempt to sabotage Obama's presidency.
This is nothing more, nothing less. It is a con job by the repukes.
We need to formulate a strategy to expose this for what it is, to hold the other side of the aisle accountable for their lunatic spending and disregard for things like the deficit, budget and Paygo.
Sorry for the rant, but I am truly beside myself tonight. This is beyond belief.
The adjective "Disgust" doesn't begin to capture what I am thinking about "the other side of the aisle" tonight.

2. Capitualation is NOT Negotiation! |
|
There is no prize for second place in these struggles for life and death.
Enough is enough the Repugs have proven they don't give a damn about the American citizens health or jobs.
Agreed "repukes are NOT passionate or sincere", why not call a liar a liar?

3. As long as millions of Americans will accept this rhetoric as passioned principles |
|
We will continue to be fed this garbage.

4. I for one prefer Dems don't flip the bird to people, or tell them to |
|
fuck off, or scream at the President that he lies during a major speech. We are better than that thankfully.

8. I agree with you, babylonsister, but |

I don't think the OP is suggesting that! He's simply sick of the pandering, kissybutt, benefit of the doubt language that our Dems seem to use when they deal with the rabid right. There is absolutely no need to praise a tantrum throwing Fascist for anything. His sincerity? His passion? Gimme a break! It appears that Mr. Bunning caved tonight because Harry Reid promised an all night session...or as long as it took...to break him. He wasn't kind. Or polite. I doubt if he praised his "passion." He just told him to put up or shut up. Good for Harry!

6. Agree. I'm getting fed up with the deference and yielding that our leaders |
|
are giving to the republicans after they express no politeness or decency.

11. Not radical, just firm, not yielding or timid and weak the way Reid acts. |

15. Anthony Weiner exemplified the way in which Dems OUGHT TO treat Repukes. |
|
I'm talking about his unapologetic "Republicans are wholly owned subsidiaries of the insurance industry" moment.
Unfortunately, it's a scant few Dems (Weiner, Grayson, Kucinich, Frank) who say what absolutely needs to be said.
