Where Are We With The Public Option Reconciliation Letter In The Senate?......
Who are the Senators that haven't signed on yet and what kind of pressure can we apply to get them to? I think I heard last night that the count was up to 34. I saw pics of those that signed - but I think it is important to get the names of those that haven't as of yet.

1. Why does anyone care?
This is a public option only in the Frank Luntz wordsmithing bizarro world. It is not open to the public but only a small select group of people. It is not an option because you can only choose it if all other avenues were exhausted. The pool is so limited it will mean very little. We are talking about only 3-6 million people being eligible (depending on the Senate or House version).

4. The Camel's nose
Everything you say is true. However, it presumes a completely static future. Once it exists and runs, it can be expanded to include more folks. Quite honestly, I suspect if it is properly structured, the small business community will be screaming to be allowed to "buy in".

3. The whole thing is a Kabuki to distract us.
These Senators KNOW they can claim to support it, because they know they will never be asked to vote for it.

5. What Happened To All The Excitement About This When Only The First Four......
Senators signed on to this. DU was teeming with excitement. Now we're at 34 and DU is giving up on this? I don't understand anything anymore. This world is really screwed up.

6. I think the audience is exhausted and energies have been spent.
This has dragged for so long, and a lot of promises have been made senators, only to prove to mean nothing.
