Chrysler passes Honda and Nissan in USA February sales
Chrysler sales weather winter storms

Chrysler confounded industry analysts yesterday. Predictions of another sales drop, possibly as high as 20%, failed to materialize as Chrysler posted a small 0.5% improvement in sales, surpassing both Nissan and Honda to take the No. 4 position in the February sales ranks and regaining the No. 5 position in year-to-date (YTD) results. Sales of the Dodge Caravan and Chrysler Town & County, up 4% and 7%, respectively, put gave the Chrysler minivans the top two slots in the minivan segment for the month and the Caravan took over the top spot in YTD sales. Chrysler also placed the vehicles, Charger, Ram and Caravan, in the top 20 best-sellers for the month.

2. I am thinking about getting a Smart ForTwo.
My next car will be something around the 10k range. Maybe next year sometime.
The Fortwo seems like a nice car and the I believe the parent company is Daimler Chrysler.
My current car is half chrysler and half mitsubishi but still american made. Go DSM!

If I don't get the Fortwo, I'll likely get a Kia Rio. Mainly for the price.
Kia's are OK I guess.

I'd love to get a Ford because they handled the bailouts well, but I cannot afFord the cheapest Ford.
Besides, we already have one Ford :)

3. The very high gas mileage FIAT 500 is coming in December!
The only reason Ford didn't need bailed out is because they got in trouble first and borrowed very heavily before the credit markets crashed.

4. Wow, the Fiat500 looks excellent.
If it's in the same price-class as the ForTwo/Rio it will be a big hit.
I would love a deisel under $12000. 55mpg... MMmmmm.
Cooper Mini D's get uber good milage with decent power but Mini won;t sell the damn things in the US.

I don't really care about MPG and emissions. I'm just a lazy and cheap... gas stations slow me down and lighten my wallet.
Unfortunately, my current car has a small tank AND only gets 19mpg. :(
