1. A very good speech!
I am proud today!

The gauntlet has been flung down at both the leaders in the House and Senate, and at the Republicans.

Let's do this thing!

2. Yes, he said both sides agree the status quo is not working......

(I'm paraphrasing....)

He broke it down into three areas:

1) End the WORST practices.... of not insuring those with pre-existing conditions, forcing Americans to pay huge deductibles, or dropping you entirely if you get sick.

2) give the un-insured the same choices as Congress. If it is good enough for Congress, it is good enough for people who pay Congress's salaries.

3) Bring down costs of coverage and lower cost of prescription drugs for seniors....and protect Medicare benefits.

It works for me......let's get it done!

...and President Obama encouraged us all to "make your voices heard!"

I can do that. :applause: :applause:

3. In my best "to be heard" clown voice:
SINGLE PAYER

I've been saying that for a long time. But no one's been listening except those who slap it down.

5. Isn't that "settling"?
To whom are we supposed to be making our voices heard?

6. Lunacy helps ...
I find howling at the moon about as effective as calling, writing, and e-mailing my Representative and two Senators - all three of whom are Democrats.

7. The only thing is
his speeches speak louder than ANY of his real action.

8. Obama to Congress: Finish your work and schedule a vote!
...and to Americans," make your voices heard as well".

Yes, in his speech he is calling Congress AND Americans into ACTION!

Let's do our part to get it done.

:fistbump:
