Senator Whitehouse at the Press Conference Today: It's time for Republicans to accept reality.

The Democrats Press Conference today is really worth watching. It was tremendously inspiring, and here is the link at C-Span:

There are so many quotable moments here, but my favorite is this one by Senator Whitehouse:

Bunning was "a historic low point... I want to urge my Republican colleagues in the Senate to push (the) Reset Button and begin to accept that Barack Obama is the President of The United States, that the Democrats have both houses, and that the people have spoken."

Today really gave me hope. We had a tremendously tactical and passionate speech by President Obama, a great press conference by some of the Democrats who have really led this fight for Health Care Reform.

I think we can do this. I had lost hope but after today, I am jazzed and proud of our party.

I'm pleased that Cardin represents me. (Mikulski too, and Van Hollen until I moved out of his district.) So I guess I don't have to move to Rhode Island, but Senator Whitehouse really is a good one, isn't he?
