10. Talked to my son's girlfriend.
She is in CA and he is there for a business trip. She said they were talking when it happened and he is fine and on his way to work. Thanks for the good wishes.

5. All the recent strong earthquakes are weird.
Wonder if this is just an aberration, or if it's indicative of something bigger going on with the earth?

9. Don't these plates cause other disturbances when they move?
Like one causing another?

I could be wrong, but I thought I heard on Saturday that the 7.0 in Japan hours before the 8.8 in Chile may have in part contributed to the Chile quakes.

7. The Pacific plate is really moving around lately.
Bumping and grinding with the other plates surrounding it.

I think a major movement in California or the Pacific Northwest is closer than we think.
