Sarah Palin shopping Alaska reality show with Survivor Producer Mark Burnett

The former Alaska governor is teaming with uber-producer Mark Burnett to shop a reality series about her home state, network sources confirm.

Palin and Burnett made the rounds at at least three of the major broadcasters (NBC, ABC and Fox) while in Los Angeles for her taping of "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" this week.

Palin and her family would be followed on-camera in the show, which one network executive described as "'Planet Earth' meets Alaska meets her family," referring to Discovery's high-definition nature hit.

But will a major network buy the series?

I used to joke around that the Palin family would be perfect for
a reality show. They're totally dysfunctional, narcissistic and
totally unaware of how idiotic they are. Perfect!

I never, ever thought SP would be this stupid and this narcissistic.

How can you not know that a reality show exists to make fun of the
people on the show? How can she not know that everyone will be
laughing at her and her family?

She's just that self absorbed though, isn't she? She thinks that she'll
be fake and control it all--and make people fall in love with her. Oh
geez...this is going to be a train wreck that will be hard NOT to watch.

I almost feel sorry for her...almost.
