Weiner on President Obama’s Plan to Pass Health Care Reform
Congressman Anthony Weiner:

"Another day of bipartisan gestures and another day of objections from the GOP. Honestly, with whom are we negotiating here?”

“I wish public option supporters would get this much love"

“The President supported a public option. 72% of Americans support the public option. The House already passed a health care bill that included a public option.”

“If this new plan is to court Republican votes, I defy anyone to point to a single one we will have gotten in return for killing the public option.”

3. So is he going to vote against the Senate bill when it comes up for a vote?
Actions speak louder than words.

7. Teaching Pigs To Sing
I saw a clip of Congressman Weiner taking on a couple of Fox flacks last night. Good work, by the way. Shame they couldn't be rendered temporarily aphasic. It reminded me of the old saying, "Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and it annoys the pig."

9. His comment about that on Rachel's show
amused me. He said it was like star-crossed lovers; they keep asking him out on dates, but it never goes very well.

8. You should be more realistic
Edited on Thu Mar-04-10 12:47 AM by Barbara2423
At last count I believe there are 32 Senators who would vote for a public option. That is not close to the numbers we need. The Democrats are just not on board with the PO. So, how can we blame the President? He created an amendment with the best chance of getting the votes.

Stop behaving like republicans, look at the facts.
