FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Two more soldiers based at Fort Bragg have been killed in Afghanistan.

The Pentagon said 27-year-old Spc. Josiah D. Crumpler of Hillsborough, N.C., and 24-year-old Spc. Matthew D. Huston of Athens, Ga., were killed Monday.

Officials say their unit was attacked by insurgents using guns and rocket-propelled grenades in the Badghis province of northwestern Afghanistan.

Both men were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division. This was Huston’s second deployment to Afghanistan. He was there for five months in 2007.

Soldiers in the unit remembered Huston and Crumpler as hardworking and dedicated.

unhappycamper comment: To date one thousand twelve American soldiers have been killed in the ongoing occupation of Afghanistan --> http://icasualties.org/OEF/index.aspx

Afghanistan fatalities for 2010 are now greater than all of the first four years of the American occupation.

4. Didn't you hear, it's much more important that an Air Traffic Controller let his kids talk ...
on air than deaths of a few USA troops or the 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Tawaian? Oh and forget about much reporting on the 33 bombing deaths in Iraq.

We must all HYPER-FOCUS on the evil unionized Air Traffic Controllers as the most lauded USA M$M LEAD STORY. :grr:
