Threats have been made against Mr Gray for starting a tenant's association
And the threats are coming from 2 board members of the Housing Authority. One of them called the non-profit he works for and told them he was threatening seniors who live in the community where we live. We have organized a majority of the tenant's to form the association and they all know this is not true.

We have made it clear that we are forming to make sure tenant's needs are met, and that we will systematically seek candidates to replace one of the offending board members in the upcoming election in May.

Two days ago, I witnessed the board member we are trying to oust threaten Mr. Gray with an investigation by the State Police---for being in the Executive Director's office, who the board is trying to get rid of.

If it were not so sick, I would be laughing. Mr Gray does not scare easy, so I imagine things will get much worse as we get into the voting season.

Here is an article the paper did on the Tenant's Association. Mr Gray did not make any of the comments to who we think is the board member in question.

This entire situation has been stressful for weeks, but we are not backing down

1. I believe it. Here, in Maryland, tenants have NO rights. My apt. management is trying
to oust the longer-term tenants.

2. Our housing authority is fantastic and supports the association
It is 2 or 3 of the board members that are the problem....and 2 of them are tenants. It is really really sick.

5. I remember watching that very interesting video you posted not too
long ago and I could immediately tell which two you were referring to. I do hope you are successful, they appeared to be the problem and not the solution. Go Mr. Gray!

4. A case against tenants' associations
Edited on Thu Mar-04-10 11:23 AM by JustABozoOnThisBus
Once formed, a tenants' association can make up all kinds of rules that even the tenants have to follow.

Like maybe a rule against duct-taping ducks to the wall.

How would you like THAT Ms GrayWarrior?!!?

:hi:

Best of luck to Mr. Gray. Are the State Police corrupt enough to investigate due to spite?

edited to move apostrophes around.

6. Good for you...these situations can always be the most stressful...
...as for the guy who called Mr Gray's boss, I'd threaten him with legal action.

7. Kudos to you and Mr. Gray for doing this!
Hang in there, I have no doubt that, in the end, the tenants' association will prevail.

8. Hope Mr. Gray's boss knows him well enough to disregard the bogus info from the creepy board member
