It's funny, Obama said he was getting the girls a dog. Sure seems like he got himself one!

Ok, it's not all serious policy wonk stuff, but enjoyable none the less.

5. Dogs always choose their "person"
If the girls had gotten a small puppy..a baby, that they could have made their own baby, it would have been their dog..but a rambunctious almost-grown dog would most likely be a "family-dog" or would choose one adult to bond to..

7. I just thought he looked very 'at home' laying in the Oval Office
doorway. And the look on the President's face as the 2 of them were frolicking was priceless. I'm glad that with all the pressures of the office, he can still smile like that once in a while

9. I was not being critical.. just have had dogs for a half century or so, and

lived through many "MY" dog situations... and damn if "my" dog didn't end up being my husband's dog:) It's the same with our cats.. they have definite preferences...not that they don't love us both , but they do choose..

Malia & Sasha probably have a ball with Bo.. he looks like a very friendly pooch:)and anyway.. once the kids grow into their teens, they are often "too busy", and their dog ends up being Mom & Dad's anyway :)...by default

8. Can relate to
the dog lying in the doorway of the Oval Office (stepping over the dog that is, not being in the OO).
