Why are TeeV news anchors so fucking stupid?

I was just listening/watching the police chase going on in LA and Contessa sounds so fucking stupid and completly incapable of describing accurately what she is seeing. It's just amazes me how stupid these people become as soon as they have to report a play-by-play event. And, they always seem to default to a sensationalist style of reporting.

Their masters pick them for their looks and ability to read a script off of a teleprompter.
Smart journaists might actually raise questions and stir up a backlash against the crimes our goverment and corporations commit on a daily basis.The PTB cannot allow that to happen.

The real journalists are out in the field. They know what is going on and what the facts are. Someone just types a script up for the hosts and they read it.

17. Listen to the Situation Room

Try listening to the Situation Room sometime when Wolfe is on vacation. The script is absolutely identical to when he is on the show. The constant "Thank you very much for that" after each guest/reporter says anything gets on my nerves. No matter how stupid the comment, "Thank you very much, some good info there". Ridiculous.

Wolfe has proved himself to be an idiot but the script just makes him sound even stupider. Hell, even Shep Smith occasionally strays from the script and calls Bulls**t.

18. One of the best ad lib anchor commentaries I ever saw by anyone was Allison Stewart ......

..... covering the LAX landing of a (USAir??) plane with a stuck nose gear. Not one spec of hyperbole. Calm demeanor. Juggling earpiece commands with interviews, etc. When it was over, she remained calm and simply went back to her job. This was back when she was on MSNBC.

I also admit to being one of her biggest fans, but still .....
