Treasury should create a new bill to put Reagan on... ..
This is a fair compromise I think. :)

It’s All About The Ronalds
Posted by Hendrik Hertzberg

see where Representative Patrick McHenry, Republican of North Carolina (very patriotic name, guy: Patrick Henry + Fort McHenry), wants to bounce Ulysses S. Grant off the fifty-dollar bill and replace him with Ronald Reagan.

Here’s a better idea.

The largest bill in circulation now is the C-note, but, for a couple of weeks at the height of the Great Depression (December 18, 1934-January 9, 1935), the Treasury printed up a bunch of hundred-thousand dollar bills, featuring a portrait of Woodrow Wilson. They were used for transfers between branches of the Federal Reserve Bank.

Now, seventy-five years later, why not have the Treasury print a $1,300,000,000,000 bill with the Great Communicator’s face on it? It could be used to pay off the portion of the national debt run up during the Reagan Administration.

Not only that, but if we printed four more Ronalds, we could cover George W. Bush’s share of the debt.

5. I'd support naming a federal prison after him.
Provided that it becomes a permanent residence for Bush, Cheney, Rice & Rove.

13. I think . . .
Taking Washington off of the penny and putting him on the 50 dollar bill, then putting reagan on the penny and then discontinuing the penny.

15. As a North Carolinian, McHenry should be laughed at for trying to get Grant removed
from a bill. It's more interesting to note who he wants to bury than who he wants to promote.

22. I would do well to NEVER EVER see that bass turd again
as long as I live.
He killed my brother, when he would not spend money for AIDS research early on. I will never ever forgive him for that, as long as I live. I wonder how many thousands of lives could have been saved, had they rushed AIDS research, instead of waiting a few years? To me, this is Reagan's greatest crime!
