2. As a Catholic, Stupack makes me ashamed that he is a Catholic too. |
|
I don't believe in abortions and I would never have one myself, but Ido nt believe that ANY religion should be forced upon an entire society! I sure hope the people in Mich. recognize him for what he is, and if he does run for Governor, I hope they all vote against him!

3. Compare what Rangel resigned Ways/Means over to the $600 subsidized rent |
|
Stupak paid at "C St" for years. The most serious charge against Rangel is that he forgot to pay taxes on a vacation property he sometimes rented out in the Dominican Republic. No allegation is made against Rangel that the renter was getting any quid pro quo in legislative favors.
But Stupak can be tied to specific anti-abortion legislation paid for by the people who were subsidizing his rent to the tune of a thousand dollars or two a month.
So can many other legislators who live or have lived at "C St". But will ethics commitees ever go after them?

5. Stupak's views on abortion is pretty much a non-issue in his district. |
|
He's the second Dem since the 1930's to represent this district. The other guy lasted one term. Stupak usually gets over 60% of the vote and in the counties that Obama did best in back in 2008, he got over 70% of the vote.
