Related to this thread, I am sending a records request to the Wake County Public School System in Raleigh, NC (the biggest system in the state). Contained in that request is the following:

Pursuant to the state open records act, I request access to and copies of training materials from the training by The Civitas Institute of the Wake County Board of Education members including any record of any fees related to this training and source of funds and any membership information of any board members pursuant to The Civitas Institute or any related organization connected to Mr. Pope.

Mr. Pope's organizations are anti government and pro privatization (and he helped lead the local tea partiers against HCR). Clearly his interests are not aligned with a public school system. I plan to publish any successful acquisition of such records.

You can't sit there and take it. It is time to take them on. Fight them in your locales as well.
